Update: New Halo Recon Trailer

This city looks very similar to New Mombasa, infact it is New Mombasa because it says "Evacuate! City of New Mombasa" in the movie. While watching the video we saw the Prophet of Regret's ship, but the covenant got destroyed right? If the covenant are not destroyed and New Mombasa hasn't been destroyed yet until the end of the video I would presume we play in as a character from the past, Halo 2 era.

This drop pod could look like an ODST (Hell Jumpers) drop pod. Remember, back in Halo 2 when the ODSTs dropped with the Master Chief on the new ring they found? Could you be playing as an ODST in this Halo 3 expansion, all the way from the begining of Halo 2 to the end of Halo 3?

There are certainly a lot of ODST drop pods. Remember back in 2004, when Bungie showed us a playable Demo at E3 which featured New Mombasa. We believe you will play as an ODST from the beginning of Halo 2 to the end of Halo 3.

You can clearly see that these pods are ODST pods. Here we have a Halo 2 ODST pod compared to one in the teaser, they are close to identical.

These are ODST drop pods for sure, by looking at this screen. Why ODSTs are landing in this city is not known, but has something to do with the covenant. If Bungie wants us to believe all the covenant have been destroyed, (which is looking unlikely) then the only other alternative could be....we are in the past.

This is the slipspace rift that was caused by the prophet of truths ship, which desicates the city. In this Halo 3 expansion, you may play as a Hell Jumper (ODST) to fight of either the covenant or the flood, or both.

This date was located more than once throughout the video. Could this screen actually contain the release date of this Halo 3 Expansion? We will let you decide. The Date Reads 1-6-09.

In the corner of this screenshot it says "Sierra 117", which means Spartan 117, which is John. It also says, location unkown, which would also hint towards you are not playing as Master Chief, but rather an ODST.

It looks like everyone has evacuated from this city, because the population reads 0. It would appear that people are evacuating because the flood has infected the entire city.

After, the last drop pod falls, a couple of screens come up. This screen says "Danger: Flood Zone" which means the flood have something to do with why these Hell Jumpers are arriving in their pods.

We believe that this screenshot is inside the last drop pod looking out. The Glass has been broken due to improper capsule lock and bad landing. This could also be one of the cities cameras lens. This video also says that "Maddie is missing", which could be this crashed pod contaning "Maddie" (one of the Hell Jumpers). Everything is really difficult to piece together, but one thing is for sure, we are in for a very big suprise.
